Karate
It was developed in Ryukyu Kingdom which was annexed by Japan in 1879. A fight which focuses on hand strikes and can be practiced as an art, self – defense or as a combat sport. Unarmed martial arts discipline employing kicking, striking and defensive blocking with arms and legs. Emphasis lies on concentrating as much of the body’s power as possible at the point and its actual impact. Timing, tactics and spirit are considered as important as physical strengthening.In fact, Karate is a journey. For few, the journey might be short; maybe their goal is to acquire their Black Belt or to learn some self-defense skills. For others, the journey lasts a lifetime and becomes a journey of self-realization. Kata
Single competitors perform predetermined series of movements simulating defense and counter attack against several opponents. (Fight with imaginary opponents)
Kumite
A fight in which basics techniques executed with “bare – hands”(unarmed hand) acquire a real meaning in confrontation with a real opponent).
